Coaching
There are 2 primary themes to my coaching practice. First is to enhance, support and encourage self-care. We live in a fast-paced world where we are inclined to give away our energy and time. While these are often worthy causes, it can come at a price personally with the lack of self-care.
Another focus for my coaching practice is to enhance relationships. This can be for personal growth and development to become the partner you aspire to be, and it can also include work with a couple who wishes to have a relationship that functions more effectively. Coaching supports your understanding of emotions, needs and drives. I practice in the theory base of positive psychology and appreciative inquiry for building strengths and positive emotions as resources to support sustainable change.
Setting Goals
You will be encouraged to set goals that move toward a vision for wellness and wellbeing, grounded in heartfelt purpose and meaning.
Because of my study with relationships and coaching, I work each day to model my own thriving. I have a wellness plan for myself that lends credibility to the journey of coaching others to find their best life.
We can dive into autonomy, relatedness, competence, navigating negative emotions, learning to suffer well, and finding the calm in an emotional storm. Much of the work of coaching is working together to design a vision, set goals and run experiments. Sometimes, we fail, and even that can be part of our experiment. Coaching supports our efforts to work on “lifehacking.”
A celebrated quote by Samuel Beckett
“Ever tired. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
Search for Missing Pieces
Life is a complicated puzzle. Coaching lets us search for missing pieces, complete the picture and celebrate your efforts to make life workable and worthwhile.
Coaching starter packages begin with signing an agreement, finding time in your calendar and making a commitment to yourself to work on the puzzle of how your life comes together. I’m looking forward to working with you on your project for a more “workable” life.
